Abbaye de Stavelot

The Museum of the Stavelot-Malmedy principality provides an intelligent, modern, yet fun look at the amazing history of an Ancien Regime state. The ancient pictures and music sheets, artefacts and artworks forming its collection are ingeniously brought together through the application of the latest multimedia techniques. On a visit to the museum, the significance of the 11th century abbey church, excavated by archaeologists and located adjacent to the museum, becomes fully evident.

The Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps museum, in the beautiful arched cellar of the abbey, brings the prestigious racing history of the circuit back to life. Previously unreleased visuals, information boards and a constantly updated presentation of extraordinary vehicles create renewed competitive passion, all the way from the pioneering period to present-day racing. Ferrari, March, Chevron, Porsche, Cooper... you name it!

The Guillaume Apollinaire Museum recalls the time spent in the area by the poet and immerses the visitor in the artistic world of the author of "Chanson du Mal-Aimé". This is a tour of the spiritual work by one of the most significant personalities from the previous century, from the point of view of his writings, and through the eyes of Picasso, Chagall, Marie Laurencin, Cocteau and Zadkine, among others.
