Oostduinkerke is a friendly seaside resort with a plethora of possibilities. The surrounding area is striking with its vast, unspoiled beaches and picturesque dunes. The beach is close to Nieuwpoort, and only 1.5km from the Village. With its wonderful expanse of dunes, it is ideal for swimming, sunbathing and walking. And there is something unique to be seen here. The shrimp fishermen on horses. This ancient type of shrimp fishing cannot be found anywhere else in the world.

It is legendary for Sunday shopping prior to Christmas, when all the shops stay open specially.

With a clear ring, the coastal tram sets off from De Panne. On the route to Knokke which runs over almost 70 kilometres, you can watch a varied panorama flashing past. It goes past glamorous villas, towering loading cranes and romantic sand dunes. The tram is also the ideal connection between the various seaside resorts. In the summer months the trams run every 10 minutes. So you can safely leave your car in the car park.
